CHAMBERSBURG—Franklin County Commissioners have named Alexis Pennings the November 2021 Employee of the Month.

Pennings, of Hanover, has been employed with Franklin County since October 2020 and currently serves as the risk management and compliance coordinator with the Franklin County Risk Management department.

November’s Employee of the Month recipient was determined by the Special Thanks and Recognition Committee, which received a total of 18 nominations for the November award, including seven for Pennings.

When nominating a coworker, employees are asked to share a specific event or circumstance that makes an individual deserving of Employee of the Month. Pennings’ nominations shared a common theme that emphasized her ability to juggle multiple projects, adjust her priorities and face adversity head on, all while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

“Alexis is professional, level-headed and enthusiastic about her role,” said one nomination form. “She is able to change on the fly and absorbs new information quickly and with purpose. She remains steady when facing adversity and has especially stepped up and exceeded expectations in the wake of the risk manager’s retirement. Her responsiveness and dedication to customer service is commendable. She multitasks extremely well and jumps into problems ready to find solutions. Franklin County is lucky to have young, invested employees like Alexis.”

Another nomination read, “Alexis has worked diligently to ensure that the county’s major construction projects continue to move forward in collaboration with many different departments and outside vendors. It has been no small task to maintain the many projects she is managing all while having a positive attitude, a smile and providing excellent customer service.”

Pennings’ outstanding characteristics are attributes that have not gone unnoticed by her

peers. The nomination form describes her as hard working, resilient, diligent, pleasant, reliable and professional.

The Franklin County Commissioners are grateful to Pennings as she exudes a high standard of customer service, excellence and respect to the employees and residents of Franklin County.
