WAYNESBORO—The Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library will host the following adult programs:

Walking Librarian Virtual Walks. Join the Walking Librarian each Monday at 9 a.m. on the library’s Facebook page for our weekly virtual walk. We explore places locally, throughout the county, state, country and sometimes the world.

Adult Virtual Story Time. Join us each Thursday at 9 a.m. on the library’s Facebook page for our weekly virtual story time. Each week is a different fun story and each month is a new book.

Genealogy Club. Do you love genealogy? Come meet other genealogy enthusiasts in Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library’s virtual zoom meeting held the first Wednesday of the month. This is an informal discussion group. The zoom link can be found on the library’s website calendar.

Socrates Café. Socrates Cafe is a gathering where people thoughtfully exchange ideas about existential/philosophical questions, with maximum respect for others’ opinions. AHMFL’s Socrates Café is only one of hundreds around the world. The program is held at 1:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of the month. The zoom link can be found on the library’s website calendar.

Just Crafting Around. You are invited to join with us in our new monthly program that will be held the second Saturday of each month. This program is free of charge; however, registration is required at the library.

Hooks & Needles. Come join us on the second Thursday of the month to work on your stitching project – crochet, knitting, cross-stitch, embroidery, etc. Bring your projects — bring your questions.

Senior Strategy Gaming Group. Come explore history through strategy board games with us. This program will be held at Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library on Saturday, January 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This program is a regular program at the library on the first and third Saturdays of each month.

Walking Librarian Monthly Walk. Join AHMFL at Mont Alto State Park on Wednesday, January 19th at 9:30 a.m. for our monthly walk. Bring your camera or cell phone with you and participate in our photo scavenger hunt. We will meet in the parking lot across the road from the pavilion. This walk is scheduled at various locations about the county on the third Wednesday of every month.

Adult MakerSpace at Your Library. We invite you to join us for the first of our new monthly program, Adult MakerSpace at Your Library. Each month we will offer instruction and ideas using the various pieces of equipment in the MakerSpace. On Saturday, January 22nd, class will be based on using the Cricut. The class will begin at 1:30 PM. This class is free; however, registration is required at the library.

Embroidery on Paper. Come join us on Wednesday, January 26th at 1:00 PM and learn how to make fabulous embroidery creations on paper from creating and hand-punching your design to the stitch work. This class is free; however, registration is required NLT January 18th.This is a great item to make for yourself or to give as a gift. Materials and instruction will be provided.

Coloring & Chocolate. Come enjoy this relaxing time of coloring for adults at the library. The program is held on the 4th Thursday of each month. This month we will meet on Thursday, January 27th at our new time at 1 p.m. The library provides supplies and a chocolate treat. This program is not designed for children.
