WAYNESBORO—The Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library is offering the following adult programs in February:

Just Crafting Around.  You are invited to join with us in our new monthly program that will be held the second Saturday of each month (Feb. 12) at 10:30 a.m. Our take-away craft for this session will be a no-sew rice bag. This program is free of charge; however, registration is required at the library.

Walking Librarian Monthly Walk. Join AHMFL at Happel’s Meadows Wetland Preserve on Wednesday, February 16 at 9:30 a.m. for a walk. Bring your camera or cell phone with you and participate in our photo scavenger hunt. We will meet in the parking lot across the road from the pavilion. This walk is scheduled at various locations about the county on the third Wednesday of every month.

Socrates Café. This is a gathering where people thoughtfully exchange ideas about existential/philosophical questions, with maximum respect for others’ opinions. AHMFL is only one of hundreds around the world. Our program is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 17. The zoom link can be found on the library’s website calendar. This program is a regular program at the library and is held the first and third Thursday of each month.

Diamond Painting: Daisy Gem. Come join us on Wednesday, February 23rd from 1 to 3 p.m. for this fun class where you will learn the techniques needed for our Daisy Gem picture. This is a great item to make for yourself or to give as a gift. Class size is limited so registration is required. A non-refundable registration fee of $5 must be paid at time of registration. Please note, this fee is a registration fee only and not a material fee — only those who are in attendance for the class will receive the diamond painting kit. Stop by the library to register.

Coloring & Chocolate. Come enjoy this relaxing time of coloring for adults at the library. The program is held on the 4th Thursday of each month. This month we will meet on Thursday, February 24 at 1 p.m. The library provides supplies and a chocolate treat. This program is not designed for children.

Adult MakerSpace at Your Library. We invite you to join us for our monthly program, Adult MakerSpace at Your Library. On Saturday, February 26, class will be instruction on using the 3d printer. The class will begin at 1:30 p.m. In addition to the learning session, each class participant will take home a sample of the class project. This class is free; however, registration is required at the library.

Walking Librarian Virtual Walks. Join the Walking Librarian each Monday at 9 a.m. on the library’s Facebook page for our weekly virtual walk. We explore places locally, throughout the county, state, country and sometimes the world.

Adult Virtual Story Time. Join us each Thursday at 9 a.m. on the library’s Facebook page for our weekly virtual story time. Each week is a different fun story and each month is a new book.

The Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library is located at 45 E. Main St., Waynesboro. For information, visit their website or call 717-762-3335.
