CHAMBERSBURG–The Franklin County Board of Commissioners will meet today, Wednesday, Dec. 21, in the administration building. The agenda is as follows:

RECONVENE FOR APPROVALS AND PRESENTATIONS (2:00 p.m.)

o   APPROVE BOARD ACTIONS – See attached listing

o   PRESENTATION  – Employee of the Month

o   SALARY BOARD

▪        Approval of Salary Board minutes from November 2, 2022.

▪        The Board will consider deviating from the County’s Pay Grade Change Policy to increase the starting rate of pay offer to a candidate for the Special Crimes Detective position in the District Attorney’s Office.  

▪        The Board will consider the following actions in the Juvenile Probation Office:  reclassifying an Office Assistant position to Administrative Assistant II position; move 2 Administrative Assistant II positions from 37.5 hours per week to 40 hours per week and eliminate existing and vacant Office Assistant position.

▪        The Board will consider the following actions in the Adult Probation Office:  Reclassify Administrative Staff Supervisor position from Grade 16 to grade 18; reclassify Fiscal Assistant position to Work Release Coordinator position; reclassify Office Assistant position to Administrative Assistant II position; reclassify 5 Fiscal Specialist positions to Collection Specialist positions; reclassify 4 Office Assistant I positions to Administrative Assistant I positions.

▪        The Board will consider the following actions in Court Administration:  Reclassify Deputy District Court Administrator position from grade 18 to grade 20; reclassify 2 Administrative Assistant I positions to Administrative Assistant II positions.  This request also includes a 7% increase for 1 Administrative Assistant II position; reclassify Magisterial District Judge Secretary I positions to Magisterial District Court Administrative Assistant I positions and to include a change in grade from 8 to 9 and Magisterial District Judge Secretary II positions to Magisterial District Court Administrative Assistant II positions and include a change in grade from 9 to 10.  All requests are for an effective date of July 1, 2022. 

o   PERSONNEL -The Board will consider approving the following position descriptions: Collection Specialist and Work Release Coordinator. And the following revised position descriptions: Magisterial District Judge Administrative Assistant I and Magisterial District Judge Administrative Assistant II.

o   EXECUTIVE SESSION – To discuss personnel matters.
