HAGERSTOWN, MD. – An SGI employee based at Corporate Headquarters has celebrated his 45th anniversary with the company.
Roger Kibler joined SGI in 1978. Over the years, he has held various safety roles, supporting
safety training, best practices, and protocols across the SGI sites. He currently serves as Safety
Specialist and focuses on coordinating and executing safety-related training and managing
industrial hygiene sampling at all locations.
“Roger’s tenure with SGI has allowed us to have stability and continuity of knowledge on our
safety team,” said SGI President Justin P. Dunlap. “He has played a significant role in all safety
training provided at SGI – from new miner training at our four nationwide quarries to annual
mine safety training provided to team members at our Corporate Headquarters.”
More than a third of SGI team members are celebrating 10 years or more with the company in
2023, and 48 of those employees will mark milestone anniversaries.
“His and others’ longevity with SGI is a testament to our culture, benefits, and the connection
team members feel to their colleagues and SGI’s mission,” noted Dunlap.
