HAGERSTOWN, MD – The highly anticipated Barbara Ingram School for the Arts (BISFA) all-school Spring musical returns to the Maryland Theatre stage this April with a one-of-a-kind musical event, “The Spongebob Musical”, with original songs.

A musical theatre production for all ages, “The Spongebob Musical” is incredibly fun and family-friendly with a timeless story of identity, crisis, and community.

“‘Spongebob The Musical’ goes far beyond the content of the cartoon we are all familiar with,” said David Ryan, lead theatre teacher at Barbara Ingram. “It touches on the importance of community and the acceptance of others that may appear different from us.  It uses a catchy musical score to teach and remind us to see the potential in others and accept all for who they are.”

Six shows are scheduled from Friday, Apr. 14, through Sunday, Apr. 23. Tickets are on sale now and range from $10-$25. Tickets can be purchased online by visiting https://www.mdtheatre.org/bisfa, in-person at the Maryland Theatre Box Office (21 South Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740) or by calling (301) 790-2000.
