MONT ALTO- Every week The Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference selects a team of the week and 4 players of the week. PSUAC Players of the Week are nominated by their individual campus and selected by the conference office from a list of nominees.

This week the honor of team of the week belongs to Penn State Mont Alto. Penn State Mont Alto swept Penn State DuBois in the first two games of the series on Sunday afternoon, winning by finals of 3-1 and 7-3. Trystan Housman and Zach Garlin each pitched complete games and struck out nine and ten batters respectively. Tyler Moreland and Jared Pine each recorded four hits to pace the offense.

Player of the week belongs to Zach Garlin the baseball pitcher for Penn State Mont Alto. In a match-up of the two teams selected atop the PSUAC in the preseason coaches poll, Penn State Mont Alto’s Zach Garlin tossed a complete game five-hitter in game one of the series against Penn State DuBois. Garlin struck out 10 hitters and walked only one during the outing, while scattering five hits on the afternoon.
