Meet our very handsome and sweet “Pet of The Week”, Brock! Brock came to AHS in December 2022 after he was found as a stray and is ready to find a home to call his own! This six-year-old guy is as sweet as they come and enjoys all the affection he can get. Brock is very tolerant of being held and pet and would make a perfect companion for someone looking for a cuddly lap-warmer. He loves napping the day away in his cat bed, and once he has regained all his hard-spent energy, he enjoys chasing soft toys around and exploring! Brock is very curious and likes knowing what everyone is doing at every moment, and is not afraid to meow to get your attention! Brock has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV for short) and is able to live in a home with other FIV+ cats or non-aggressive cats that are low-risk of causing a fight. Brock has done well when introduced to other cats here at the shelter, and would not mind a fellow kitty companion in his forever home. We would recommend slow and careful introductions if there are any other cats in the home to prevent any possible spread of the virus through deep bites. FIV cannot be spread through casual, non-aggressive contact such as mutual grooming or sharing food/water bowls.
