Blues, Brews, and BBQ at Capitol Theatre

CHAMBERSBURG-The Capitol Theatre Center will hold its annual fundraiser of Blues, Brews and BBQ this weekend.

Blues, Brews and BBQ will feature live blues music from Skyla Burrell Band and Kelly Bell Band.

Skyla Burrell Band will perform 1 – 3:30 p.m. The music of the Skyla Burrell Band is filled with hot licks, sweet tones, passionate vocals, and an undeniable feel good vibe. Skyla Burrell received recognition within the Blues Industry with an induction into the Blues Hall of Fame representing Pennsylvania. Between Skyla’s tremendous voice, dual blazing guitars and an amazing rhythm section guests are sure to get up out of their chairs and dance. 

The Kelly Bell band will perform 4 – 6:30 p.m. Revue Magazine describes the Kelly Bell Band as “Among the most genre-expanding acts on today’s blues scene. Originally formed as the back-up band for rock and roll pioneer, Bo Diddley, Kelly Bell Band has been touring the world ever since entertaining fans in Japan, Spain, Italy, Greece, Cuba, Germany and more. This prestigious band has been voted “Best Blues Band” in the Mid-Atlantic Region 12 years in a row and will no doubt have guests moving and grooving. 

There will be a selection of craft, specialty and domestic brews, wine and non-alcoholic beverages. BBQ and other items will be available for purchase from: CM Pig Out Catering from Chambersburg, and B&B Bar-B-Que & Catering out of Waynesboro. Attendees will also be able to enjoy small games of chance.

Blues, Brews and BBQ will take place Saturday, May 6, 1 to 7 p.m. at the Capitol Theatre Center, 159 S. Main St., Chambersburg. Tickets are $20.
