All-You-Can-Eat Ice Cream Festival is Back

CHAMBERSBURG, PA – More than 1,000 people will gather at Chambersburg Area Senior High School (CASHS) on Saturday, July 8 for Scoop-a-Palooza to sample delicious varieties of ice cream and enjoy fun, family activities.

During Scoop-a-Palooza, sponsored by ACNB Bank, ice cream vendors will offer many flavors for festival-goers to sample from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the CASHS cafeteria at 511 South Sixth Street in Chambersburg. The air-conditioned space will offer the perfect oasis for summer fun including a Kids’ Zone activity area featuring the Franklin County Library Bookmobile and Franklin County Dairy Promotions, appearances by Maggie the Clown, Danny Longlegs and the Human Sundae event at 12:30 p.m.

Advance tickets are offered at a discount now through July 7 at ScoopaPalooza.org or at the Heritage Center in downtown Chambersburg. Advance tickets cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children ages 3 to 10 years old and entry is free for children under 2 years old. Tickets will be available at the door for an additional fee.

“We are excited to host Scoop-a-Palooza and bring some of the most delicious ice cream flavors under one roof for the day,” said Virginia Harriger, executive director of the Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation. “The festival is a true community favorite, and we appreciate the support of the sponsors, ice cream vendors, volunteers and community members; please join us on July 8!

”Regional ice cream vendors will be on site including The Igloo, The Inside Scoop, The Meadows Original Frozen Custard and Rita’s Italian Ice & Custard with more to be announced soon. Each will offer traditional and flavors that attendees will sample and vote for their favorites.

Scoop-a-Palooza is a fundraiser hosted by the Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation, a nonprofit focused on leadership and workforce development programs in Franklin County. Scoop-a-Palooza is part of ChambersFest, a weeklong festival happening July 8 to 15, 2023. For a full schedule of events, visit Chambersburg.org/ChambersFest.
