CHAMBERSBURG–The Town Council of the Borough of Chambersburg will meet today, Monday, July 10, in the borough office. The agenda is as follows:

All meetings shall be held at 7:00 o’clock p.m. in Council Hall, First Floor, Utility Addition Building, 100
South Second Street, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. (Enter through the Rear Parking Lot or Queen Street
Entrance). Any person who needs an accommodation in order to gain access to or participate in the
meetings should call 717-251-2407 prior to the meeting they desire to attend.

    Price of $62,205, in Accordance with Sealed Bids Received on July 6, 2023 to be Paid with Various Accounts as Determined
    by Individual Projects

    5.01 Authorization to Approve Borough Plan RE-1585, a Final Subdivision and Land Development Plan for Maple Run as well
    as the Associated Standard Stormwater Facilities Maintenance and Monitoring Agreement
    5.02 Authorization to Approve Borough Plan RE-1591, a Final Subdivision Plan for the Borough of Chambersburg to
    Subdivide Land on Cedar Street, Loudon Street and West Washington Street for the Meeting Place Greenway Project
    5.03 Authorization to Refer to the Planning and Zoning Commission to Review and Discuss Rezoning from Professional Office
    to Low Density Residential all Land Proposed for Development through Borough Plan RE-1585, a Final Subdivision and Land
    Development Plan for Maple Run
    5.04 Authorization to Approve a Resolution Amending the Rules and Regulations of the Civil Service Commission to Update
    Sections Related to Appointments
    5.05 Authorization for Proper Borough Officials to Execute a Memorandum of Understanding Between the Borough of
    Chambersburg and the Chambersburg Police Officers Association that Outlines Terms and Conditions of Employment Upon
    the Reinstatement of Police Officers
    5.06 Authorization to Approve Additional Services Agreement (ASA) Number 10 with BL Companies and Authorize Necessary
    Borough Officials to Execute Any and All Documentation to Effectuate the Same. This ASA is for the Purpose of Preparing
    and Submitting a Notice of Intent to Remediate, a Special Industrial Area Work Plan, a Baseline Environmental Investigation
    and Report, and Other Services to Provide Closure for Service Center Manufactured Gas Plant Cleanup Project
    5.07 Authorization to Amend the 2023 Budget in Order to Hire One Employee as a Full-Time Engineering Technician to Train
    Along with the Existing Full-Time Geographic Information System Technician until his Retirement in April 2024
    5.08 Authorization to Amend the 2023 Budget to Add a Second Warehouse Person to the Warehouse Department Staff
    5.09 Authorization to Accept the Resignation of a Firefighter in the Chambersburg Fire Department Effective 7/13/2023 and
    Further to Give Authorization to Receive a Certified List for Firefighter from the Chambersburg Civil Service Commission to
    Hire Up to 1 Probationary Firefighters for the Next Fire Academy Class

    7.01 Authorization for the Storm Sewer Utility to Apply for Funding for the Falling Spring Presbyterian Church Floodplain
    Restoration Project; and Further to Approve an Agreement with Biohabitats of Baltimore, Maryland, to Complete an Existing
    Conditions Assessment, Develop a Conceptual Plan, and Provide a Baseline Nutrient Load Reduction Necessary for Grant
    Funding for the Project, for a Cost Not to Exceed $22,168; and Further to Amend the Borough’s Chesapeake Bay Pollutant
    Reduction Plan to Add this Project
    7.02 Council Discussion on Existing State Laws Regarding the Installation of Stop Signs and Local Policy on Installation of
    Traffic Calming Devices
