WAYNESBORO— The Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship is bringing one of their coveted 30 Regional Finals to the Pennsylvania/Maryland border. Waynesboro Country Club, also known as one of the “Best Kept Secrets” of golf courses in the Cumberland Valley, will host the All-Girls Regional Final for the first time in the club’s history. The event will be played Saturday, August 19th and Sunday, August 20th where some of the region’s best players from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and even a Florida player make up this year’s field. Tee times range from 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. with all participants teeing off in a single tee, stroke play format.

For the second consecutive season, the NB3 and Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour work together exclusively to provide this opportunity to all the girls in junior golf across the country. This will allow more girls to get exposure at the national level. They will work together to host the second annual All-Girls National Championship to air on Golf channel. A total of four (4) girls will advance from the Regional event to compete in the 2023 Short Par 4 Peggy Kirk Bell Golf Tour / Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship Presented by R1 Companies. The National Championship takes place every year in at Koasati Pines Golf Course at Coushatta Resort in November and the championship event will be televised on Golf Channel which airs early December.

The event is open to the public and Notah encourages everyone to come out and support these young players.

The Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship is in its fourth year and aims to grow the game of golf by providing a platform for players to compete against the best juniors in the Country in a true, open qualifying series. Junior golf participants will be given an unrestricted and accessible pathway to utilize their golf skills and achieve valuable national recognition. Players will not be required to have resumes, points rankings, or any other affiliations to play. Boys and Girls from across the country simply need to have an interest in competitive golf and testing their skills at the highest level. The National Championship will be televised on Golf Channel in prime time that will be airing over 2 hours of broadcast time that has never been done before. These players will have a chance to be recognized on a platform like no other increasing the chances to #getNOTAHced by college coaches around the country. The Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship is open to boys and girls ages 10-18 who will compete in one of the age categories: Boys 16-18; Boys 14-15; Boys 12-13 & Boys 10-11; Girls 16-18; Girls 14-15; Girls 12-13 and Girls 10-11.
