Franklin County celebrates local businesses at 35th annual industry appreciation dinner

GREENCASTLE— The Franklin County Area Development Corporation (FCADC) held its 35th annual Industry Appreciation Dinner on Thursday, Sept. 14 at Green Grove Gardens. The event honored two businesses and an individual who has made outstanding contributions to economic development in Franklin County.

Rodney B. Smith Plumbing and Heating was awarded Small Business of the Year, while Fil-Tec was awarded Large Business of the Year. Bonita “Bonny” A. Zehler was awarded the Zane Miller award, which is given to an individual who has made uniquely outstanding contributions to economic development in Franklin County.

The FCADC is charged with formulating, implementing, and promoting a comprehensive countywide economic development strategy. The annual Industry Appreciation Dinner is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the contributions of local businesses and individuals to the economic development of Franklin County.

The dinner was sold out, and attendees enjoyed a night of celebration and recognition. The event was a reminder of the importance of supporting local businesses and promoting economic growth in the community.
