Say hello to our Pets Of the Week, Carter and Paisley!

This brother-sister duo were surrendered to us in April 2023 and unfortunately, have not had a lot of interest and staff cannot understand why! Carter and Paisley are as sweet and well-mannered as they come and would thrive in a home looking for a pair of easy-going companions.

Carter and Paisley are a bonded pair and MUST be adopted together into their forever home.

They have no problems sharing toys, food and water here at the shelter (even when Carter is stealing Paisley’s treats!) and thrive with each other’s presence. Seven-year old Carter is the slightly more independent of the two but once he is attached to you is as goofy and sweet as his sister. Paisley has enjoyed meeting everyone and anyone, and is always happy to say hello! Carter enjoys belly rubs and butt scratches while Paisley is a bigger fan of ear scratches and gentle pets!

While they are seven and six, this older pair still have plenty of pep in their step! You will not see a better pair of walkers when on lead than Carter and Paisley, which works well because these two love going for walks or playing in the yard.

Carter and Paisley know sit, down, shake and stay. Carter LOVES treats and will do just about anything for a snack! Paisley is all about getting love and loves to snuggle up next to you for attention. Their previous owner did say they did not do well with cats but Carter and Paisley have tested well with cats here at the shelter. We would recommend if they go into a home with any feline friends that they get a slow introduction. Paisley does well with other dogs besides Carter, but we have noticed Carter is very selective with other dogs. We are willing to try and have a meet with other doggy pals in the home!

This pair would love to find a home where they can spend their golden years relaxing and comfortable. If you would like to meet with Carter and Paisley stop by and meet them today!
