Meet a Princess. The Maugansville Ruritan Club will host a Fairy Tale Princess Party on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature a fun-filled day of princess activities, including photo opportunities with each princess and a surprise guest, autograph pages, and five activity station coupons.

Enjoy a Car Show. Thunder in the Square will be held Friday, Sept. 29, at 5 to 9 p.m. in Downtown Hagerstown, at the intersection of West Washington St. and S. Potomac St. This family friendly event will feature an antique and collector’s car show, motorcycles, trucks, tractors, vendors, live music in University Plaza, food truck and many other fun activities. 

Puff & Sip. Puffs and Pints is a fun event where participants can enjoy cigars from Christie’s House of Pipes & Cigars and drinks from Rough Edges Brewing and Cold Spring Hollow Distillery while listening to rock and roll music from local band Center of Gravity. Tickets include the first pour and cigar, and there will be door prizes and raffles. Food will be available for purchase from Nyk’s Gourmet Grilled Cheese food truck. The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 6-9 p.m. in Main Street Park, Waynesboro.

Celebrate Community. The 44th Annual Mercersburg Town Fest will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Mercersburg. This is a free event where attendees can enjoy delicious food from a variety of vendors, as well as live music from local bands. Arts and crafts vendors will be on hand to sell their creations, and there will be games and activities for all ages.

Bake a Pie. Apple Fest will be held in Boonsboro, Md on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Washington County Rural Heritage Museum. Hicksville BBQ truck will be on site. Local Honey and Apple vendors will have their products available for sale. There will be plenty of activities for the family such as: cider making demos, broommaking, and fossil mining. Kids can also learn how to make their own Apple Crisp, take it home and bake it.
