CVAS Pet of the Week: Dim Sum
Share

I am reaching out to you all because we are incredibly full at CVAS right now.

We have almost 300 cats in our care as I’m typing these words. We have cats in our adoption kennels, cats in our isolation kennels, cats in our offices, cats in the treatment room, cats in the grooming room, cats in foster care and cats at Petsmart and Petco.

It has been a long time since we have had this many cats in this shelter.

So I need your help. If you are looking to adopt, now is the time. We have some of the sweetest felines you could imagine looking for homes right now, ranging from adult cats to playful kittens. Do yourself a favor at check out cvas-pets.org and find yourself a sweet, sweet feline friend.

If you can’t adopt, please let your friends and family know of our situation. Share the pictures you see on our Facebook page. Tell everyone you meet about our overflowing kennels.

Also, please consider donating so we can care for the cats we have right now. We need kitten food, adult cat food, bleach and laundry detergent. We could also always use monetary funds to help us out.

All the cats at CVAS, even the kittens, are already spayed and neutered. They have begun their series of vaccinations and have been treated for fleas, earmites and ticks as needed. They will also get a microchip for permanent identification when they are adopted.

The microchip really helps us reunite lost animals with their owners and we’re so grateful that we are able to provide that for every animal that gets adopted from CVAS.

Kittens six months old and younger are $90.10 and that includes everything I have listed above. If you fall in love with more than one kitten – and sometimes having two is a great idea because they will keep each other company – you can get two for the adoption fee of one. It’s an incredible bargain any way you slice it.

Cats who are seven months and older are a donation from the heart. We want to give our adult cats every chance they can have to get a home, so we don’t have a set fee for our adoptions. It’s whatever you would like to give.

We are so incredibly grateful for our supporters and adopters who allow us to continue to care for and adopt our the four-legged babies who come into our kennels every year.

I have talked to many, many people over the years who wholeheartedly believe the pets they have adopted from CVAS are somehow aware that they have been saved and the gratitude is just amazing.

I believe that with all my heart. If you take an animal out of a cage, he or she will remember that and you will have a life-long adoring companion.

I’m telling you, some of the cats we have at the shelter have the absolute best personalities and will provide years and years of entertainment that is, quite frankly, hard to find anywhere else.

So if you’re looking, or know someone who is, now is the time.

Please check out cvas-pets.org and help us spread the word about our animals. Helping an animal find a forever home is one of the best feelings in the world.

Please help us help them by letting everyone know about our four-legged friends.
