Enjoy a Free Family Movie. Get cozy with hot cocoa and cookies while enjoying a festive film, The Polar Express, on the big screen. This Saturday, Dec.16, the Family Life Worship Center will host a free Family Movie Night with two showtimes at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Plus, every child gets a golden ticket redeemable for a prize, and adults can enter the exciting basket raffle. Snap a picture with Santa himself and capture the holiday spirit. Head to the Family Life Worship Center at 4750 Buchanan Trl E, Waynesboro, for a holly-jolly afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and family memories.

Get Grinchy. This Friday, Dec. 15, join Black and Blush Boutique (54 South Main St, Chambersburg) for a festive evening of cookies and Grinch-y cheer! From 5 to 8 p.m., munch on delicious cookies (we hear the Who-pudding ones are a hit!) and mingle with the Grinch himself. It’s a chance to snap some fun photos, get into the holiday spirit, and maybe even steal a few cookies under the Grinch’s watchful eye. So don your holiday best, bring your sweet tooth, and head down to Black and Blush for a holly-jolly evening.

Join a Hootenanny. Dust off your banjos and pick your fiddles. This Sunday, Dec. 17, the Waynesboro Bluegrass Music is back at Music Makers for another foot-stompin’ hootenanny. Join Johnny Calamari and Brad Munn from 2 to 4 p.m. for an afternoon filled with bluegrass tunes, friendly faces, and good vibes. Admission is free, grab an instrument, rally friends, and get ready to pick, strum, and tap your feet to the rhythm of the Blue Ridge.

Dance Through Time. Discover Danceworks presents a unique take on Christmas festivities with a free, immersive program at the Franklin County Visitors Center on Friday, Dec. 15 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Step back in time to an 18th-century colonial Christmas with period dance performances, live music, and educational insights. Witness elegant social dances and popular songs of the era, brought to life with authentic costumes and informative readings. This lively program promises to entertain, educate, and transport you to a bygone Christmas, all while enjoying light refreshments.

Dine with Santa. Gather your little elves and jingle bells for a magical morning at University Grill’s Breakfast with Santa. This festive feast unfolds on Sunday, Dec. 17, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., promising a belly-warming spread and a sprinkle of holiday cheer. Grown-ups can enjoy a delicious buffet of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and fluffy French toast sticks, all fueled by bottomless coffee and orange juice. The kiddos will delight in a mini-feast of their own, complete with home fries, assorted pastries, and sweet treats like cookies and hot cocoa. Santa will be on hand to mingle with families, pose for photos, and hear those cherished Christmas wishes whispered in his ear. All this holiday magic happens at University Grill, nestled at 32 E. King St. in Shippensburg. Tickets are $19.95 for adults, $11.95 for little elves aged 4 to 10, and free for the tiniest believers under 4.
