CHAMBERSBURG- The “Be Kind” campaign, organized by Teens for a Better Tomorrow (#t4bt) and Chambersburg Cares, is gearing up for its fourth annual celebration of kindness in Franklin County this February. The campaign aims to encourage intentional acts of kindness in schools, workplaces, and the community at large. Here is how to get involved:

  1. Last Chance to Order “Be Kind” Items: The “Be Kind” store will close on January 15th, so don’t miss the opportunity to purchase a variety of items, including shirts, hats, hoodies, and more.
  2. Kindness Challenge Calendar: Throughout February, participants are encouraged to focus on intentional acts of kindness by following the kindness challenge calendar.
  3. Acts of Kindness Photo Contest: Share your acts of kindness for a chance to win a $150 Entertainment Package.
  4. “Be Kind” Toolkit: If you’re interested in starting a kindness campaign in your community or school, a toolkit with helpful tips is available. Feel free to reach out for more information.

The “Be Kind” campaign is a powerful initiative that has the potential to create a ripple effect of kindness in the community. Research has shown that a single act of kindness can lead to a chain reaction, ultimately contributing to a more compassionate and connected society.

Wearing “Be Kind” apparel on Fridays in February is a simple yet impactful way to show support for the campaign. By participating in the campaign, individuals can contribute to the efforts of Chambersburg Cares, an initiative of Healthy Communities Partnership, which works to promote healthy youth behaviors and reduce substance use and risk factors in Chambersburg.

The “Be Kind” campaign is a wonderful opportunity for individuals of all ages to come together and make a positive difference in their community. Let’s embrace the spirit of kindness and make this February a month to remember. For more information and to get involved, visit the campaign’s website or reach out to the organizers directly.
