Support Local Music. Black-Coffey Caverns will host a Bluegrass event on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. The event will take place at 6242 Warm Spring Rd in Greencastle. The featured band, FrankCo Penn, is known for their high-lonesome harmonies and innovative arrangements, offering a unique bluegrass experience. The band requests a $10 donation per person, which will go directly to the performers. Get Painting. The Kids’ Paint Night at the Chatty Chameleon in Greencastle will be held Friday, Jan. 12 at 5:30 p.m. It promises a fun night of painting and creativity, with children being given instruction and all materials to create a masterpiece to take home and treasure. Explore Fishing and Camping. Tri-State Baits presents a Fish and Outdoor Expo at the Shady Grove Community Center, 2100 Buchanan Trail E, in Shady Grove. The event will take place from Friday, January 12 to Sunday, January 14, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will feature activities related to fishing, hunting, camping, and more. Admission is free, and there will be food and drinks available for purchase. Local vendors will be present with goods for sale, making it a great opportunity to explore and shop for outdoor and fishing-related products.

Laugh. The Love & Laugh Comedy Show and After Party, presented by Big Chuck Productions, is set to take place on Friday, Jan. 12. The doors will open at 8 p.m., and the show will begin around 9 p.m. The event will feature headliner Lonnie Davis, along with performances by Your Gurl Holly, Justin Lamar, Sam Cobb, and Manny Santiago. Take the Plunge. The Polar Bear Plunge will take place on Saturday, Jan. 13, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Greenbrier State Park in Boonsboro, MD. This event invites participants to take a plunge to support the animals at the Humane Society of Washington County. Individuals can register to plunge, create or join a fundraising team, set personal goals, or contribute to their preferred plunger’s campaign. The event aims to gather support to save lives, and those interested can find further details online.
