Read a Book. The first Downtown Window StoryWalk of the year is set to take place on Saturday, Jan. 20, 10 a.m. to noon, and the community is invited to participate. Hosted by the Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library in downtown Waynesboro, the StoryWalk will feature the book “How to Catch a Snowman.” The first 100 children to attend will receive a complimentary copy of the book and a free take-and-make craft. The story will be displayed through mounted pages in the windows of various storefronts across downtown Waynesboro. This initiative aims to promote literacy and provide a fun and educational activity for families and children in the community.

Listen to Music. Music Makers will host a Cabaret and Musical Theatre showcase on Friday, Jan. 19, 5:30 to 8 p.m. 17 accomplished singers will perform over 30 songs from more than 25 shows. Located at 50 West Main Street in Waynesboro the performance is free, donations are greatly appreciated.

Build a Toolbox. Lowe’s is set to host a Children’s DIY Workshop at 12809 Shank Farm Way in Hagerstown, MD on Saturday, Jan. 20, from 10 a.m. to noon. During the workshop, children will have the opportunity to create their own toolboxes under the guidance of Red Vest experts. It is recommended to register in advance for the workshop, and walk-in registrations will begin at 1 p.m.

Test your Knowledge. On Saturday, Jan. 20, from 6 to 9 p.m., The Barrel House in Chambersburg, will host a Seinfeld Trivia Night. Located at 39 N 3rd St, Chambersburg, The Barrel House provides a welcoming environment for participants to test their knowledge of the iconic TV show. Sample Question : In Season 9 episode “The Bookstore,” Jerry learns that a relative of his is a shoplifter. Who is this relative?

Create a Doormat. E-Z Peezie Crafts, located at 105 W Main St in Fairfield, will host a doormat workshop on Sunday, Jan. 21 at noon to 3 p.m. Those interested can register for the workshop online through the E-Z Peezie Crafts website. This event offers a creative and enjoyable opportunity for individuals to craft their own unique doormats while receiving guidance and instruction from the experts at E-Z Peezie Crafts
