High school scores and standings from May 13-18

Claire Paci, a senior distance-running extraordinaire for the Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils, has two more pieces of hardware to add to her burdgeoning trophy case.

Paci had a brilliant showing at last weekend’s District 3-3A Track and Field Championships, held at Shippensburg University. Paci captured district gold medals in both the 1,600 (4:55.98) and 3,200 (10:30.70) to establish momentum for this weekend’s PIAA Class 3A Championships.

The last Local.News lacrosse team remaining in the MPSSAA postseason has gone down in the state semifinals. Smithsburg’s perfect season, which includes a Class 1A West II Regional title, is over at 15-1. The Leopards fell 10-3 to Fallston in Friday’s Class 1A state semifinal contest.

Finally, on the baseball diamond, Waynesboro kicked off its journey in the District 3-6A Tournament with a 1-0 win over Cumberland Valley in the first round.
