Go To The Market- The arrival of late spring brings the opening day for two beloved farmers markets in the area. On Saturday, May 25, the Market at the Park in Waynesboro’s Main Street Park kicks off, running every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon until September 28. Vendors will be offering fresh local produce, baked goods, and other delectable treats. The same day marks the start of the North Square Farmers Market in Chambersburg’s Chambers Fort Park. This grassroots market, promoting local growers and entrepreneurs, will be open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon through November 23. Both markets provide an excellent opportunity to support the local community while stocking up on fresh, seasonal foods and goods.

Support Local Students. Enjoy The Parade. The Sharpsburg Memorial Day Commemoration & Parade is a longstanding tradition that has been held annually since 1867, making it the longest continuously held Memorial Day parade in the United States. This year, on Saturday, May 25, the town of Sharpsburg, Md, will honor the ultimate sacrifices made by fallen soldiers. The event will commence with a wreath-laying ceremony at 11 a.m., followed by a parade at 2 p.m., taking place at 106 E Main St, Sharpsburg, MD.
