FAIRFIELD – Raise a glass to the fusion of local flavors, the spirit of community, and the joy of discovery at the Liberty Winefest in partnership with the Pennsylvania Wine Association. The event will take place 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, June 8, at Liberty Mountain Resort, located near historic Gettysburg, PA.

“I am thrilled to announce our first annual Liberty Winefest, a celebration of the year-round experiences we offer at Liberty Mountain, and an opportunity to bring the community together,” said General Manager Chris Blackwell. “The mountains and the spring flowers will be the perfect backdrop to experience and appreciate wines made right here in Pennsylvania. With historic Gettysburg just a short drive away, visitors can also experience a part of history, from battlefield tours, museums, and local shops. We invite everyone to join us for the weekend and enjoy a fun getaway.”

This event will feature some of the best Pennsylvania wineries including King View Mead, ReKlaimed Vines Winery, Armstrong Valley Vineyard and Winery, Bee Kind Winery, Black Dog Wine Company, Creekside Cellars Winery, Jackson Square Vineyard, Hungry Run Wine Cellars, Twisted Vine Winery, Antler Ridge Winery, Fero Vineyards and Winery, and Cellar ’54. Wineries scheduled to attend are subject to change without notice.

The festival grounds, located at the base area of Liberty Mountain Resort’s ski lodge, will feature the wineries, a selection of artisan vendors, and a bevy of dining options and delicious dishes at The BBQ Deck, McKees Tavern, and Eagle and The Owl, as well as great live music.

“The Pennsylvania Wine Association is excited to partner with Liberty Mountain Resort to bring to life the inaugural Liberty Winefest,” said Scott Neeley, Board President of the Pennsylvania Wine Association.  “This new event featuring Pennsylvania wineries, food pairings, and the Liberty Mountain backdrop is a perfect event to celebrate.”

Admission to the event includes a souvenir wine glass, samples from attending wineries, live music, wine seminars, and a complimentary wine check service for wine purchases made on-site. Ticket sales are available online. Guests who purchase their tickets online in advance will save $25 per ticket.  Designated driver tickets will be available at the event gate for $20 per person. Festival guests must be at least age 21 with proper identification.
