Get Social with Ice Cream. The Franklin County Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (N.S.D.A.R.) will host an Ice Cream Social on Saturday, June 8, at 1 p.m. at the Rocky Spring Presbyterian Church. The event, organized by the Shippensburg History Center, will feature tours of the church built in 1794 by N.S.D.A.R. members and stories from interpretative staff about the 23 Revolutionary War soldiers buried on site.

Break out a Journal. Discovery Station will host an event on Saturday, June 8, at 11 a.m. at 101 W Washington St, Hagerstown, Md. to kick off a summer of outdoor exploration with nature journaling. Participants will learn about nature journaling, decorate their journals, and fill them with engaging prompts. Activities will include leaf rubbings, simple drawings, and complex observations, making the event suitable for all ages.

Jump on Tour. The Franklin County Visitors Bureau (FCVB) is inviting the public to participate in the Franklin County Pour Trail on a Spring Pour Tour scheduled for June 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The tour offers an opportunity to visit Screaming Bambino Cellars in Chambersburg, Rough Edges Brewing in Waynesboro, and both B-Sides Pints & Pies and Hidden Key Brewing in Greencastle. Participants will enjoy beer flights or samples at each brewery, wine tasting, and full pours of cider or beer, accompanied by breakfast bites, lunch tastings, and appetizers. The tour begins and ends at the Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center in Chambersburg.

Listen to the 80’s. The City Park Band Shell at 501 Virginia Ave in Hagerstown will host a free concert featuring Frederick’s own Guys In Thin Ties on Sunday, June 9, at 2 p.m. The event, titled “Noteworthy Concert in the Park,” invites attendees of all ages to enjoy a nostalgic afternoon of ’80s music.
