CHAMBERSBURG- Over the past several months, Downtown Chambersburg Inc.’s Website Committee has worked side by side with LaunchUX to create a new website to better serve the downtown.

The committee, empowered by the Downtown Chambersburg Inc. Board of Directors, reviewed the content and functionality of the past website and researched new website technology that exists in the marketplace. The committee informed the Board of suggested parameters for a request for proposal, the result of which culminated in a vendor recommendation of LaunchUX, a Franklin County based SEO and Website Design Firm.

The new Downtown Chambersburg website includes a much-needed interactive parking map, which includes clickable directions to each parking lot and a listing of nearby restaurants. In addition, the new website features an interactive directory, an easy and simple community calendar with the ability for easy event submission and updated and consistent fonts, content and colors.

“This new website enhances DCI’s ability to showcase our downtown, highlight parking assets, share about our projects and roles within economic development activities, and provide an easy to navigate community calendar and directory. LaunchUX was incredible. They were very responsive and professional. We are looking forward to making small and large updates to our website in the near future,” said Sam Thrush, President of Downtown Chambersburg Inc.

Courtney Flinn, DCI Website Committee Member shares, “I wanted the new Downtown Chambersburg, Inc. website to give visitors an accurate glimpse into why those of us who live, work, play, and volunteer in this community are so passionate about what Chambersburg has to offer, and I think our partnership with LaunchUX allowed us to do just that.”

The committee was creative and thought of innovative solutions. The parking webpage within the new downtown website is an example.

“Sam and his team at Downtown Chambersburg were great to work with. They made creating their ideas into reality fun and easy.” – Michael Banks, Operation Director

“Our team had a great time designing and developing the website for DCI. We do our best to be active in the community and it was awesome to work on a project that promotes the area we love.” -Nathan Neil, Owner/ CEO

“Downtown Chambersburg Inc. greatly appreciates LaunchUX for their expertise, time and continued support and love for our downtown,” – Sam Thrush, President of Downtown Chambersburg Inc.

Downtown Chambersburg Inc. invites the community to check out the new website at www.downtownchambersburgpa.com.
