Chow Down for a Cause. The Bay Supper Fundraiser, will be held at the Waynesboro Country Club on Friday, June 28. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for socializing, hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction, with dinner served at 6:45 p.m. This 27th annual event features a traditional crab feast, shrimp, chicken, side dishes, and desserts, along with silent and live auctions, a cash bar, and various activities. The event aims to bring together members, friends, and families to support the nature center through an evening of food and fun.

Join the Bluegrass Fun. GearHouse Brewing Co. in Chambersburg, is set to host its annual Bluegrass Festival on Saturday, June 29, from noon to 9:30 p.m. The event, which is free to attend, will feature a full day of live bluegrass music performances in the brewery’s outdoor hopyard. Visitors can expect a combination of craft beer, food, and musical entertainment, creating what the organizers describe as “the perfect summer day.” While specific details about the food offerings are yet to be announced, the festival aims to provide a comprehensive experience for attendees, blending local craft brewing with traditional bluegrass music in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Rock out at Monterey Pass. On Saturday, June 29, from 1 to 4 p.m., the Monterey Pass Battlefield Park and Museum in Blue Ridge Summit will host a concert as part of their Summer Concert Series, featuring Bobby D and the Truckstop Burritos. The performance will take place on the museum grounds, offering visitors a chance to enjoy live music in a historic setting. In addition to the musical entertainment, attendees can expect food trucks and ice cream to be available during the event. The Monterey Pass Battlefield Park and Museum, which preserves a portion of Pennsylvania’s second largest Civil War battle, provides a unique backdrop for this summer gathering.

Celebrate community creativity together. The Foundry Art Market in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, is set to unveil a collaborative community painting on Sunday, June 30, from noon to 3 p.m. The artwork, created by 36 local artists, is part of an annual project aimed at celebrating and supporting community organizations. Each artist received a canvas with a pixelated image to recreate in their chosen medium. The completed canvases will be assembled to reveal a larger, cohesive work of art. The event also serves as a fundraiser, with a goal of raising $2,500 for a local organization through canvas sponsorships.

Relive History, Walk Hagerstown’s Past. The Washington County Historical Society is set to host the Ransom of Hagerstown Walking Tour on Saturday, June 29, from 11 a.m. to noon. The event, part of a larger Public History Day, will begin at the Miller House Museum located at 135 West Washington Street in Hagerstown, Maryland. Led by Stephen Bockmiller, author of “Follow the Money: The 1864 Confederate Ransom of Hagerstown, Maryland,” the tour will guide participants through downtown Hagerstown, retracing the steps of the historical event that occurred on July 6, 1864, when Confederate Brigadier General John McCausland and 1,500 soldiers held the town for ransom. The walking tour, which commemorates the 160th anniversary of this incident, will cover approximately one mile and last 50 to 60 minutes, focusing on the area around Public Square.
