Head to the Fair. The 59th Annual Franklin County Fair runs through Saturday, July 13, offering a celebration of agriculture, entertainment, and local cuisine. Highlights include the Interstate Truck and Tractor Pullers on Friday evening, featuring five classes of modified pulling, and a Karaoke Contest with cash prizes. The fair concludes Saturday with a full day of activities, including the Barnyard Olympics and evening entertainment featuring Bullride Mania and line dancing on the Midway.

Experience Oz in Greencastle. The Greencastle Amateur Players are set to bring the magic of Oz to life with their upcoming production of “The Wizard of Oz” at the Jerome R. King Playground Bandshell. This beloved classic will feature a cast of more than 30 young actors, showcasing local talent and community spirit. Performances are scheduled for Friday, July 12 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, July 13 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The event offers free admission, with donations accepted, making it an accessible and enchanting summer entertainment option for families and theater enthusiasts in the Greencastle area.

Discover culinary delights. The Penn National Food Truck Festival will take place on Saturday, July 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Trellis Terrace of Penn National Golf Course Community. The event will feature four local food trucks offering a variety of cuisines, including coffee, grilled specialties, Jamaican dishes, and craft beer. Attendees can enjoy free entry, parking, and live music by Hidden Roots while sampling diverse culinary creations in a festive atmosphere

Support a Local Cause. A three-day fundraiser to benefit Chase Andrews will be held July 12-14 at the Goldfish Barn Event Center in Fort Loudon. Highlights include a live auction with firearms and unique items, a vendor show with kids’ activities, a jeep ride, and a poker tournament. Food trucks and a bake sale will be on-site throughout the weekend.

Craft Your Summer Adventure. The Friends of Caledonia State Park will host their 41st Annual Arts & Crafts Fair on Saturday, July 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Caledonia State Park. The event, offering free admission, will feature approximately 150 skilled artisans and craftspeople showcasing a wide variety of handcrafted items, including wood carvings, custom leather goods, folk art, baskets, needlework, pottery, and more. Visitors can also enjoy live music and various food options throughout the day
