The sibling rivalry between Franklin County’s Myers brothers — Fayetteville’s Cory and Chambersburg’s Craig — once again played out to a podium finish for both drivers at Path Valley Speedway last weekend.

Cory Myers and Bret Cronrath started up front for Saturday’s 270 Sprints feature, but it was Myers and Craig Myers who were leading the race after one lap. The brothers held those positions for the entirety of the race, surviving two restarts en route to a 1-2 finish. Cory Myers recorded the best lap speed of the night, zipping through at 77.16 mph in 11.664 seconds.

Cole Dewease, of Fayetteville, piloted his car to a runner-up finish in the 600 Sprints, behind race winner Travis Keiser.

Fayetteville’s Roger Traxler briefly held the lead in the Thunder Cars feature at Path Valley before eventually finishing third behind winner Travis Burkholder and Aaron Updegraff. Traxler was joined in the Top 10 by Chambersburg’s Kevin Bard, who finished in sixth.

Other winners from Path Valley include Zach Rhodes (305 Sprints), Trent Yoder (Wingless Super Sportsman), and Chris Anderson (Strictly Stocks).

Sprint Car Hall of Famer Lance Dewease was in action at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, placing 12th in the 410 Sprints feature.

Hagerstown Speedway was off last weekend, and will run its final race program of the season on Saturday.
