We’re well into the boys soccer season, and at this point, nearly every team has experienced defeat at least once.

That’s not the case for the North Hagerstown Hubs, who kept their unbeaten season alive last week with two wins last week to improve to 6-0-1. Another team from the Local.News area, Fairfield, is laser-focused on qualifying for the playoffs and the Knights kept their postseason hopes alive by climbing to a 6-4 record last week.

Franklin County continues to be a hotbed for girls volleyball, as Chambersburg (10-3), Greencastle-Antrim (12-1), and Waynesboro (10-3) now combine for more than 30 wins.

Two cross country programs, Chambersburg and North Hagerstown, made the trip to the Carlisle Invitational and performed well. Chambersburg’s top performers were Liam Kirkpatrick (15:59) and Madelyn Koons (19:55), while the Hubs were highlighted by Walker Mason (16:08) and Lauren Stine, who finished second in the girls race with a time of 18:09.

Finally, Smithsburg’s girls flag football team improved to 3-1 after defeating Brunswick 7-6 last week.

Below is a sport-by-sport look at how teams in the Local.News coverage area performed last week:
