Join the fun at the Costume Parade! Cowans Gap State Park in Fort Loudon will host a Costume Parade from 4 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 along the scenic Lakeside Trail. Participants will gather for check-in starting at 3:30 p.m. below pavilion 4, and the parade will proceed toward the beach area. This festive event is open to all, although children must be accompanied by an adult. Even those not participating are encouraged to attend and support the parade participants. Celebrate Queen’s legacy. With electrifying energy and a commitment to authenticity, The Kings of Queen are set to take the Capitol Theatre in Chambersburg by storm Friday, Oct. 18. Fronted by the charismatic Emo Alaeddin, who embodies the legendary Freddie Mercury in both voice and presence, this tribute band promises an unforgettable night of classic hits. The band’s dedication to live music—eschewing backing tracks for pure talent—ensures that fans will experience the magic of Queen as if they were witnessing the original legends themselves.

Get crafty. The Fall Craft Show in Shippensburg is set to take place on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Burnt Mill Countryside Barn, located at 13812 Burnt Mill Rd., Shippensburg. This vibrant event coincides with the premiere of the much-anticipated sequel to the beloved film, “Beetlejuice,” showcasing its festive spirit at the Waynesboro Theatre. Attendees can enjoy a scavenger hunt featuring local businesses, where hidden Easter eggs await discovery in various stores. The bash will also include Halloween-inspired crafts, party games and spooky activities designed for all ages, making it an engaging way to explore the town while supporting small businesses and embracing the seasonal festivities.

Fall into Fall Fest. Deliteful Dairy in Williamsport, Md., will host its annual Fall Fest, a family-friendly event designed to celebrate the harvest season. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, attendees can enjoy a variety of activities including tractor rides around the farm, live music on the patio and delicious seasonal treats infused with a Deliteful Dairy twist. Local artisans and vendors will showcase their crafts, providing opportunities for guests to discover hidden treasures as they stroll through the fields.
