Two Greencastle drivers — Transtan Stoner and Bradyn Kuhn — secured second-place finishes at Path Valley Speedway on Saturday in the final points racing program of the season.

Stoner finished second in the 19-car field in the Wingless Super Sportsman feature behind Sam Leonard. Kuhn had a solid night in the 270 Sprints, going from ninth to second in a heat race before driving from third to second in the main event, finishing behind Jason Houtz.

Malachi Doyle, of Chambersburg, landed a fourth-place finish in the Strictly Stocks feature.

With Path Valley’s points race reaching its conclusion, there are plenty of reasons to celebrate for drivers from the Local.News coverage area.

The 270 Sprints division wraps up with a 1-2-3 finish from area drivers. Chambersburg’s Craig Myers stacked up 652 points to win the division over his brother, Fayetteville’s Cory Myers, who finished with 627 points. The aforementioned Kuhn claimed the third spot with 580 points.

Other top points finishers from Path Valley include Kameron Morral (6th in 600 Sprints), Kevin Bard (6th in Thunder Cars), Malachi Doyle (6th in Strictly Stocks), and Stoner (7th in Wingless Super Sportsman).

Path Valley will run its final program of the season with this weekend’s two-day Bull Ring Nationals.

A handful of area drivers traveled to McGrewBid Motoplex in York Haven last weekend. Jonathan Schill, of Saint Thomas, finished first in the Micro Midgets 500cc feature, while Greencastle’s Todd Walls competed in the same race and finished in sixth.

Finally, Fayetteville’s Lance Dewease ventured out to Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, taking eighth in the 410 Sprints feature.
