First Friday Fun. On Friday, Nov. 1, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Mainstreet Waynesboro will host two exciting events: the First Friday Trick-or-Treat and the First Friday Beard Competition. Children aged 14 and youngeer are invited to dress up and trick-or-treat at local downtown businesses. Simultaneously, adults can participate in the beard competition as part of “No Shave November,” showcasing their facial hair prowess.

Fall into Farmfest. FARMFEST the Sharpsburg Swap will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Green Hill Farm, 5329 Mondell Rd., Sharpsburg. This vibrant festival celebrates the harvest season with a variety of farm and craft vendors, delicious food, live music and fun activities for kids. Attendees can enjoy pumpkins, coffee and even meet some friendly chickens and bunnies while relaxing on straw bales.

Join the ghost-busting fun. The Memorial Park Bandshell in Chambersburg will host a community event featuring free snacks, a complimentary book and a screening of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire on Friday, Nov. 1. Attendees can enjoy the movie while receiving a special bookmark that entitles them to a second free book at any Franklin County Library System location. Snacks and books are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so families are encouraged to arrive early. Children in fifth grade and under must be accompanied by an adult, and participants are advised to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets for comfort during the movie, which begins at 6:30 p.m.

Uncover treasures hidden in local shops. On Saturday, Nov. 2, the Downtown & Around Town Open House will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Greencastle. This event invites residents and visitors to kick off their holiday shopping early by exploring local businesses throughout the downtown area. With free parking available, attendees can enjoy a festive atmosphere while supporting the community and discovering unique gifts. The event is part of a series of activities organized by the Greencastle Chamber of Commerce aimed at fostering local engagement and economic growth during the holiday season.

Get ready to sing along. The Capitol Theatre Center in Downtown Chambersburg will host the musical duo Wilson Fairchild, comprised of Wil and Langdon Reid, sons of the legendary Statler Brothers, on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m. Known for their energetic performances and exceptional harmony, the Reid cousins have been captivating audiences for over 15 years. They not only honor their fathers’ legacy in the Country Music Hall of Fame but also showcase their talents as prolific songwriters and multi-instrumentalists. Attendees can look forward to a delightful afternoon filled with music, complemented by non-alcoholic drinks and concessions available for purchase.
