MERCERSBURG – Mercersburg Academy recognized the 13 students who were inducted into the Cum Laude Society in the fall. Mercersburg was one of 382 secondary schools across the country with a chapter of the Cum Laude Society. The group of students chosen for membership in Cum Laude included those who demonstrated excellence in their academic work.

The second group of Cum Laude inductees from the Class of 2025 is scheduled to be announced during the spring term. Cum Laude honorees were elected as seniors by faculty and staff members of Mercersburg’s Cum Laude chapter, acknowledging their outstanding academic achievements. Founded in 1906, the Cum Laude Society served as the secondary-school equivalent of Phi Beta Kappa.
