Experience the drama. “A View From The Bridge,” a classic play by Arthur Miller, will be performed on Friday, Nov. 15, from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Potomac Playmakers Performing Arts Center in Hagerstown. Set in 1950s New York, the story revolves around Eddie Carbone, an Italian American dockworker who welcomes his cousins from Sicily into his home. Tensions arise when Eddie’s niece, Catherine, falls for one of the cousins, Rodolpho, leading to a tragic series of events that explore themes of jealousy and betrayal. This production promises to be a compelling rendition of Miller’s powerful narrative.

Klenzing’s Garden Center will host a festive Holiday Open House in Chambersburg on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event promises to be a delightful celebration of the holiday season, featuring an expanded array of seasonal decorations and a showcase of their latest line of remarkably realistic artificial Christmas trees. Celebrate Christmas. Antietam Entertainment will host the Christmas Experience Dinner Show on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at 9745 Garis Shop Rd, Hagerstown. This festive event promises a delightful evening filled with live entertainment, including singing, dancing, drama and comedy, alongside holiday activities and a hearty homestyle meal. Attendees can enjoy hot chocolate and cider, a wagon ride, visits to an animal stable, bonfire marshmallow roasting, horse rides and a live Nativity scene before indulging in the holiday feast and show. This cherished family tradition has captivated audiences for 10 years.

Laugh a little. The Side Splitter Challenge on will take place Saturday, Nov. 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Coyle Free Library in Chambersburg. This unforgettable afternoon promises laughter and storytelling as speakers share their most hilarious tales, each competing for top honors. Audience members will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites, with awards presented for Best Humor, Best Use of Props and Best Overall Performance. Don’t miss this open mic session where fun and creativity collide.

Learn from the best—attend the Ikebana demonstration. The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown will host an Ikebana Demonstration and Talk on Sunday, Nov. 17, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Dr. Irina Koral Latorre, a master of the Ichiyo School, will showcase the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging, creating arrangements inspired by the themes of the exhibition “Floating Beauty.”During the demonstration, Latorre will discuss how the principles of Ikebana—simplicity, balance and harmony—are reflected in both her art and the featured prints.
