Weather permitting, the local auto racing season is set to close out this weekend at BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven.

When that feature runs its course on Saturday, it’s on to the offseason for the drivers not traveling south for competition this winter.

This seems like as good of a time as any to review the top drivers from the Local.News area during the 2024 season. Three track champions — Chambersburg’s Craig Myers, Waynesboro’s Tyler Horst, and Hagerstown’s Keith Reed — served as the cream of the crop for a group of 26 drivers that landed Top 10 points finishes in their respective divisions.

Myers was crowned the 270 Sprints champion at Path Valley Speedway following a season that saw him rack up 652 to narrowly win the points title over his brother, Fayetteville’s Cory Myers (627), and Greencastle’s Bradyn Kuhn (580). Two other drivers, Greencastle’s DJ Myers (Late Models) and Chambersburg’s Alyssa Rowe (Modifieds), earned second-place finishes in their divisions.

At Hagerstown Speedway, Horst (Crate Late Models) and Reed (Pure Stocks) both conquered their divisions this season, while Hagerstown’s Wesley Bonebrake (Late Model Sportsman) and Brady Neff (Semi Late Models) each secured third-place finishes.

Below is a speedway-by-speedway, division-by-division look at the final points leaders for area tracks, as well as tracks that featured Top 10 points finishes from local drivers:
