Community effort supports breast health education

A total of 723 bras and monetary donations to support Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance in Mercersburg were raised during the recent Bras for a Cause campaign. CVBCA provides breast health education and breast cancer support to residents of Franklin, Fulton and Cumberland counties wherever they seek treatment. Volunteers who met to count bras are from left, seated, Marj Cober and Nancy Baer. Row two: Pat Fleagle, Carol Adams and Rhonda McFarland. Cober and McFarland served as co-chairs of the campaign, held in October in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
