The CFA Youth Football League is coming off its biggest two-week stretch of the season, with the organization hosting its “Super Bowl” championship tilts and All-Star games.

Players and teams from the Local.News coverage area shined brightly in the spotlight.

Chambersburg’s Peewee team capped off an undefeated campaign with a 12-6 win over New Cumberland in the Federal West Super Bowl. The Trojans finish their season with a 10-0 record, having outscored opponents 217-26 in the process.

Chambersburg’s Pony squad also competed in a Super Bowl, falling 6-0 to Mechanicsburg.

Fairfield can call itself a Super Bowl champion after its Pony team captured a 20-12 win over Boiling Springs in the Liberty Super Bowl. The Knights played to a 9-1 record this fall and outscored the competition 214-56.

One week later, CFA’s All-Stars gathered for the Cribari Classic.

Coached by Chambersburg’s Tay Jones, the South Midget All-Stars leaned on two Waynesboro players — Brantley Phebus, the Federal West Lineman of the Year, and Brayden Heimbuch, the Offensive Player of the Year — in a 32-13 win over the North squad. The CFA South All-Stars were loaded with local players, including Fairfield’s Henry Jones (QB), Hunter Harlacher (WR), Tanner Packard (S), Kellan Long (DE), Sean Lavin (OL), and Joseph Cleaver (DT), Chambersburg’s Deakon Snavely, Corey Rivera, Jase Fritz, Chase Kline, and Aaron Kireta, and Waynesboro’s Ronan Mencia, Dwayne Robinson III, Chase Wilson, and Jordan Geesaman.

The CFA South Peewees played to a similar result, topping the North team by a 26-0 score. Josh Mayhugh, a Chambersburg coach, guided a group that included Fairfield’s Ethan Youman (OL/DL), Jaxon Frank (LB), Tank Barger (DE), and Leland Anders (FB), Chambersburg’s Hudson Smith, Zeke Ramos, Ben Mayhugh, and Lorenzo Burke, and Waynesboro’s Morgan Hewitt, Easton Heimbuch, Raylan Shaw, and Kyjuan Taylor.

Finally, the battle of the North-South Pony All-Stars went to the North side with an 8-0 victory in overtime. Members of the South team, coached by Mechanicsburg’s Jim Lamancusa, included Fairfield’s Andrew Frank (FB/ILB), Jansen Ott (TB/S), Wyatt Baney (OL/DE), and Gavin Littleton (OL/DL), Chambersburg’s Henry Schoenhofen, Damani Hicks, Jack Zimmerman, and Ben Gabler, and Waynesboro’s Ben Bechtel, Carson Curtis, Easton Riddell, and Brycen Benedict.
