WAYNESBORO – Future Business Leaders of America at Waynesboro Senior High School are collecting items through Dec. 9 for the New Hope homeless shelter.
Liliana Moreno, co-president of the club. said November is Homelessness Awareness Month. The students are collecting shampoo donations of shampoo, soap, personal hygiene items and cleaning products. They hope the public will help by dropping off donations to a student or donating directly to the shelter at 25 S. Potomac St. Donation bins are also in each high school classroom. The school is at 550 E. Second St,
Morena noted after this month, the club is joining the shelter in hosting a spaghetti dinner for the residents.
