GREENCASTLE – The Greencastle Exchange Club has recognized Ace Monn, an eighth-grade student from Greencastle-Antrim Middle School, as its November Citizen of the Month. This honor is awarded monthly to students who exemplify high scholastic achievement, community involvement and leadership qualities.

Monn, son of Abe and Anya Monn, was nominated for the award by his teachers based on criteria that include good citizenship, dependability, fairness and unselfishness. His teachers commend him for being respectful, kind, diligent and attentive in class.

They highlight his leadership and teamwork skills, noting his maturity and moral character. Ace is described as personable and helpful to both peers and staff, consistently encouraging others to achieve their academic goals.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Ace is actively involved in extracurricular activities. He participates in the school chorus and choir and is a member of both the Greencastle-Antrim soccer and cross country teams. His commitment extends beyond school; he engages with his church through youth activities and service projects. Ace’s interests also include reading, STEM activities, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Gerald Crable, associate principal at Greencastle-Antrim Middle School, along with Maggie Labutta, secretary of the Exchange Club, attended the ceremony to honor Ace. His mother Anya Monn and younger sister, Maelynn, were also present to celebrate this achievement. The Greencastle Exchange Club continues to play an essential role in recognizing the accomplishments of young individuals in the community.
