CHAMBERSBURG – The Capitol Theatre in Chambersburg is set to host a heartwarming holiday event, “A Touch of Christmas,” at 3 p.m. Dec. 1. This special performance marks the farewell of Lynn Lerew, the esteemed director of the Hagerstown Municipal Band.
In partnership with The Gilmore-Hoerner Endowment, theater officials invite the community to join in celebrating Lerew’s remarkable career. The concert promises an enchanting mix of Christmas music and festive cheer, featuring talented special guests including Bob Eyer on the Moller Theatre Pipe Organ and vocalist Lisa Turchi.
Tickets for the event will be available for $19, with early access for those who donate $100 or more to the theater. This show is expected to evoke nostalgia and joy, making it a perfect way to kick off the holiday season while honoring Lerew’s contributions to the local arts community.
The theater also is boosting the Franklin County United Way’s Winter Warmth Drive, and theater-goers are invited to donate some items to help those in need in the local community. The theater will have a donation box inside by the main entrance under the marquee.
