Winery of the Year is an accolade that recognizes excellence in winemaking, innovation, and contribution to Pennsylvania’s wine industry. “We are humbled and honored to receive these awards,” said Dan Baumgardner, General Manager at Adams County Winery.

“These recognitions reflect the dedication of our entire team, and we are thrilled to have our quality wines recognized,” said Winemaker Bernard Cannac. He expressed particular excitement about winning awards across a diverse range of wine categories, highlighting the recognition of his craftsmanship in dry, semi-sweet and sweet wines.

This achievement was especially significant as it showcased his versatility and ability in producing wines with varying profiles, each requiring distinct techniques and approaches, winery owners noted.

They invite wine enthusiasts to visit their winery in Orrtanna to experience the award-winning wines for themselves. For more information about the winery or to schedule a tour, readers may visit www.adamscountywinery .com.

Founded in 1975, Adams County Winery is one of Pennsylvania’s oldest wineries, offering a range of handcrafted wines that capture the essence of the region, winery officials said. With a commitment to quality and innovation, the winery continues to build upon its legacy as a leader in Pennsylvania’s wine industry, they added. The Farm Winery location sits on more than 75 acres of rolling hills and farmland while operating out of an 1860’s registered historic Pennsylvania bank barn. In 1988, Tears of Gettysburg was first bottled at the winery, and to this day, it remains one of their most popular wines, as well as one of the oldest continually made wines in Pennsylvania.
