Mrs. Alyceann (Kyler) Williams Pentz, 99, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Chambersburg Skilled Nursing and Rehab, Chambersburg, PA, following an extended illness.
Born February 14, 1926, in Port Matilda, PA, she was the daughter of the late Albert William Kyler and Mabel Stanton Kyler.
Alyceann and her husband, Roy E. Williams, were married on July 3, 1949, sharing 45 years of marriage until his death on May 1, 1994. She later found love again and married D. Clinton Pentz on June 5, 2004. He passed away on September 3, 2022.
She was employed at Corning Glass in Corning, New York, and Envelope Factory in Williamsburg, PA.
For most of her adult life, she attended Pleasant Valley Assembly of God in Altoona, PA. She served as an Honor Star sponsor in the Missionettes program, taught Sunday School, and served as the Women’s Ministries director. She was also a member of Calvary Assembly of God in Waynesboro, PA, where she volunteered many hours visiting shut-ins and those in the hospital.
Alyceann was known for being a loving lady who brightened the lives of those who knew her. She was a great storyteller who loved to share her experiences and adventures throughout her life. Her family was the center of her life. She loved playing games and going camping with the family and grandkids. Her home, always kept in meticulous order, reflected the care and intention she poured into everything she touched. She enjoyed playing the piano, scrapbooking, knitting, crocheting, and reading. She and her first husband, Roy, served as missionaries to Ghana, Africa during the early sixties.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her son, Rick Williams (partner, Leanne Kephart) of Altoona, PA and her daughters: April Newsome (husband, Dwan) of Waynesboro, PA, and Darlene Lawrence (husband, Chuck) of Champion, OH; her grandchildren Brett Lawrence (wife Holly), Chérie Roe (husband Sam), Matthew Williams, Scott Williams, Tawnya Priego (husband Sam), and Kirsten Torrado (husband Luis); 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; stepchildren Nancy Currey (husband Ron) and David Pentz (wife Nanette); four step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her two husbands, she was preceded in death by sisters Ethel Hall (husband Thomas), Annabelle Morgan (husband Harry), Betty Woodside (husband Frank), Viola Gray (husband Harry); and brother, William Kyler.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 16, 2026, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad Street, Waynesboro, PA with her son-in law, Pastor Dwan N. Newsome officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family, with a graveside service held at Grandview Cemetery in Altoona, PA.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Friday afternoon, in the funeral home.
