Mrs. Anita L. Sprankle, 64, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, in the Hershey Medical Center.
Born December 10, 1961, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter D. and Betty G. (Robinson) Grove.
She graduated from Chambersburg Senior High School with the class of 1981.
She and her husband, Mr. Michael L. “Mike” Spangler were married September 16, 2025. They shared over 39 years of companionship together.
In her younger years, Mrs. Sprankle was a member of the F.O.E. and attended church services at Calvary Assembly of God, both of Waynesboro. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Waynesboro. She was an avid bingo player who enjoyed talking and reminiscing with friends. Mrs. Sprankle enjoyed cooking and baking, something she got from her mother. She often found joy out of the simpler things in life such as watching old time game shows on TV and collecting Nic-knacks.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Allen Sprankle of Greencastle, PA, and Lisa Bowders of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Shayla Noll, Axl Bowders, and Isabella Bowders; three great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Brian Grove, Ronny Hawks, and Peggy “Pinky” Sanders.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
