It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Anita V. Jackson, a cherished mother, devoted wife, pastor, sister, grandmother and beloved friend, who departed this life on April 14, 2025, at the age of 63, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born on June 17, 1961, in Monrovia, Montserrado, Liberia, Anita’s journey was marked by resilience, grace, and an unwavering spirit. Anita was a graduate of Leigh Sherman Community College (Liberia), John Eckhardt’s Impact University School of Prophets and Barbara Wentroble International Breakthrough Ministries School of Intercessors. She dedicated her career to the banking industry as a secretary, where her diligence and warmth touched the lives of many. She was a member of Christian Community Church (Paynesville/Liberia) & Unity in Christ Church (PA/USA), Female Ministers Association and worked as a Pastor, teacher and homemaker. Anita enjoyed reading the Bible, interceding for others and doing puzzles. She was a constant student, loved Ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ, gardening and spending time with families. She was known for her compassionate nature, her infectious laughter, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. Her devotion to her family was paramount, and she took immense pride in being a loving companion to her husband, Franklin Jackson, a nurturing mother to her daughter, Sophie (William) Clites, sons: Joseph (Christina) Jackson & Lloyd Jackson, grand Children: Aaliyah, Terrence, Abram, Kyrie & Zion, sisters: Marcia (Yanquoi) Subah Bertha Perrin, four nephews and a niece and a host of other families, friends and loved ones. Anita is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Itoka, and her mother, Sophronia Itoka. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories that will be long treasured by all who had the honor of knowing her. A celebration of Anita’s life will take place on April 26, 2025, at Unity in Christ Church. A public viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance and honor the remarkable woman Anita was. After the services, Anita will be laid to rest in Lebanon Cemetery, 888 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg, PA 17202. In this time of grief, let us come together to remember the beauty of Anita’s life, the joy she brought to our hearts, and the love that will forever remain in our memories.
