Anthony “Tony” Rivellino, 76, of Greencastle, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born January 7, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio, Tony was the son of the late Dominic and Mary (Gigante) Rivellino. He graduated from Brooklyn High School in Ohio, class of ‘67, and served honorably in the United States Army (1968-70). In 1969, he married the love of his life, Gloria (Stolarski) Rivellino.

A lifelong entrepreneur, Tony owned County Markets in Hagerstown and across the Tri-State area for 18 years. He later discovered his true passion of homebuilding and spent two decades building homes in the Greencastle community. He served on the board of directors at St. Maria Goretti in Hagerstown, MD, was active in the Bloody Point POA of Daufuskie Island, SC, and was a past president of GGHOA.

Tony loved all sports and was a devoted fan of every Cleveland team. He enjoyed gardening and took great pride in landscaping, often pruning his trees with care and offering opinions on anyone else’s. He treasured a good story, a good meal, and good company. Known for his humor, strength, and steady presence, Tony built a strong foundation for his family. Above all, he loved them deeply, and to his grandchildren he was simply “Poppa.”

In addition to his wife, Gloria, Tony is survived by his four children: Teresa Rainey, Greencastle, PA; Lisa Kelly (Brian), Hampstead, MD; Christina Widener (Michael), Frederick, MD; and Vincent Rivellino (Lauren), Charlottesville, VA.

He is survived by his grandchildren (Nicholas, Stephanie, Anthony and his daughter Kinsley, Megan, Nate, Ben, Karsten, Victoria, Anne, and Claire), by his step-grandchildren (Katelyn and Elizabeth and their families), sisters (Stella Rivellino and Esther Kovacs and husband Julius), and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Rocco and Joe Rivellino.
