Mrs. Betty Louise (Blizzard) Bricker, 94, known and loved greatly by everyone as “Memaw” of Waynesboro, PA passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024, in her home.

Born August 22, 1930 in South Mountain, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl D. and Margaret (McCauslin) Blizzard. She was a lifelong resident of South Mountain, PA and “The Gap” area of Waynesboro, PA.

Mrs. Bricker worked in the laundry department of the Samuel Dixon State Hospital, South Mountain, PA, was a supervisor at Stanley Company, Chambersburg, PA, was a waitress at Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15, Waynesboro and was a craft specialist at Joann Fabrics, Chambersburg, PA.

She was a member of the South Mountain Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed various crafts, being outdoors, camping, going to the beach, watching game shows and playing bingo. She especially enjoyed her family and attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s various events.

She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Smith (Harry) of Mont Alto, PA and Wanda Nichols of Waynesboro; her forever son-in-law, Stephen Nichols of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, Kristi Eckrich of Carlisle, PA, Jason Moats (Shelly) of Fayetteville, PA, Travis Nichols (Tiffany) of Chambersburg, PA and Brett Nichols (Ali) of Waynesboro; one step-grandson, Tyrone Nichols of St. Thomas, PA; nine great-grandchildren, Trevor, Aaron, Ella, Wyatt, Axel, Grayson, Adrian, Lorelai and Laila; and five step-great-grandchildren, Logan, Micah, Nevaeh, Rylee and Preslee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel C. Bricker, who died on June 10, 1993; one granddaughter, Melanie “Dee Dee” Moats, who died in 1971; and her step-grandson, Justin Nichols, who died in 2024.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, October 24, 2024 in Mount Zion Cemetery, Mount Zion Road, Waynesboro, PA.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Wednesday evening, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, PA.
