Mrs. Beverly A. “Bev” (Dehart) Barnhart, 78, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Mercy House, Chambersburg, PA.
Born April 3, 1946, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late John and Isabell (Gossert) Dehart.
She and her husband, the late Melvin Barnhart were married June 1, 1968, in the Brethren Church of Christ in Waynesboro. They enjoyed 51 years of marriage together before Mr. Barnhart passed away in 2020.
Mrs. Barnhart made a living as a homemaker.
She was a member of the Waynesboro Fire Department Woman’s Auxiliary for over 50 years. Enjoying the simpler things in life, she got enjoyment out of feeding her yard squirrels and birds, playing bingo, trips to the beach and spending time with her family. Bev was known for her love and devotion to being a great wife and an even better mother.
She is survived by her son Brian and his wife Cindy of Greencastle, PA; two grandchildren, Austin Farrar and his wife Brittany, and Samantha Williar and her husband Tyler; one great- grandchild, Jackson Farrar; a sister, Lois Cook; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Price; two brothers, Ronald and William Dehart; and a sister, Shelva Gene Haugh.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
