Mr. C. Ordean Monn, 90, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born April 20, 1935 in the Fairview area of Quincy Township, he was the son of the late Charles Oscar and Charlotte Lorraine (Lowman) Monn.
Mr. Monn was a graduate of Quincy High School with the Class of 1953 serving as Class Treasurer and was the Quincy High Spelling Champ in 1953.
He and his high school sweetheart, Maryle Elizabeth (Martin) Monn, were married on March 19, 1955 in Solomon’s Lutheran Church at Grindstone Hill, Chambersburg.
Mr. Monn completed his machinist trade at Landis Machine Company, retiring from Sales Engineering in 1975 after 22 years of service. He then began his career with First National Bank of Greencastle in November 1975, opening the Quincy Branch in June 1976 where he worked for 10 years before transferring to the main office. He retired in 1999 as Vice President. Mr. Monn also served the community as Quincy Township Auditor for 50 years and worked part time at Hurley Real Estate and Auctions.
He was an active member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Fairview Ward where he served as Bishop for 8 years, 1st Council to 2 other Bishops, 1 with Fairview Ward & 1 in Chambersburg, served 2 terms on Stake of High Council, as ward and stake church historian and numerous other church callings.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Debra Ann Neal (J. Craig) of Vancouver, WA, Robert Ordean Monn (Lorrie) of Lebanon, Indiana, Pamela Sue Carey (Michael) of Fayetteville, PA, and Ti Deana Kay Clevenger (Randy) of Waynesboro, PA; 15 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; his siblings, Donald Eugene Monn of Waynesboro, Jack Gary Monn of Waynesboro, Terry Allen Monn of Gettysburg and Yolanda Sue Barnett of Quincy; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Ordean Monn; and his siblings, Charlotte Louise Monn, Corina Faye Watson, Lois Elaine Harbaugh, Rickey Lynn Monn and Cleo Joyce Mills.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 17, 2025 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Fairview Ward, 11887 Mentzer Gap Road, Waynesboro, PA with Bishop Jacob Muldowney officiating. Burial will follow in Quincy Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Wednesday morning, in the church
