Mr. Chad Ian “Stew” Stewart, 53, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Thursday morning, December 19, 2024, in Mercy House, Chambersburg, PA.
Born March 8, 1971 in Waynesboro, he was the son of Dave Stewart of Waynesboro and Therese (Hayes) Stewart-Radotic of Mill Spring, NC.
He attended South Plantation High School in Florida before graduating from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1989, where he played basketball, baseball and football.
Chad was employed by Thorsen’s Precision Grinding and later Landis Machine Company, Waynesboro.
He was a member of Eagles Club, Inc., Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15, The Owls Club and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1191, all of Waynesboro and The Blue Ridge Sportsman’s Association.
Chad enjoyed playing golf, going to the races and was an avid fan of Alabama football and the New Orleans Saints. He also loved riding his Harley Davidson, enjoyed spending time with his dog, Harley and was a fan of 80’s hair bands, including going to their concerts.
In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by his longtime girlfriend and wife, Laura Lee (Kauffman) Stewart, whom he married May 10, 2023; his twin sister, Tanya (Stewart) Driver of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one nephew, Rylan Driver of Ft. Lauderdale; and his step-father, Steve Radotic of Mill Spring, NC.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday, December 23, 2024 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Burial and religious services will be private at the convenience of the family.
