Mrs. Clover Pearl “Toby” (Blubaugh) Hough, 99, passed away peacefully on 22 January 2026, at Quincy Village.
Born November 16, 1926, daughter of the late Jacob Mentzer Blubaugh and Goldie Pearl (Wagaman) Blubaugh.
Mrs. Hough graduated from Quincy High School with the Class of 1944 and was a life-member of Blue Rock United Brethren Church.
She and her husband, the late Lewis W. Hough, were married in 1949. Mr. Hough died on July 29, 1983.
Mrs. Hough worked at Frick Company her entire career until retirement and then became a volunteer at Quincy United Methodist Home, Meals on Wheels and the Waynesboro Chapter American Red Cross.
She is survived by her daughter, Janis West (Tom); three grandchildren: Sarah Berger (Ryan), Olivia Hammond (Kevin) and Joshua West; 6 great-grandchildren: Dean & Lyla Berger, Preston, Savannah & Spencer Hammond and Trinity Minnick.
“Nan Nan” is also survived by special friends & neighbors of over 50 years, Ruth & Bill Shilling, daughters Carole Ann Hockenberry (Chad), son Caden & Darlene Gordon (Donnie), son Dylan (Allison) & daughter Drew (fiancé, Mitchell).
In addition to her parents and husband, Clover was preceded in death by her son, Lewis, Jr.; an infant brother, Harold A. Blubaugh; and her sister, Geraldine Amsley.
A special thank you for the tender, loving care provided by her caregivers at home, Madison Matta and Anna Zentmyer and the wonderful, compassionate staff at Quincy Village.
There will be no public viewing and services will be private at the convenience of the family with burial in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
